ABOUT
Hi there! I'm Kim, a UI/UX Designer with a background in Game Design and a passion for Character Art and Animation.
For as long as I could remember I was passionate about videos games, animation and storytelling. From a young age I was inspired to pursue a career in animation after watching The Incredibles and this has put me on the path that I am on today.
Growing up I played a weird mix of games, Halo, Harvest Moon on GBA and a ton of random demos from the Xbox Arcade and the old PS1 magazines.
My love of games and more importantly my love for making games wasn't fully realized until college and in 2017 I achieved my Bachelor of Game Design at Sheridan College. I graduated with my sights set on a career in Game UI Design.
When I started, I found that UI Design was the perfect mix for my Game Design background and my love of Art. Through my experience at Behaviour Interactive, I learned that UX is my strong suit.
My decision to move on to Goose Byte was because of the opportunity to branch out. I really enjoy wearing multiple hats on a project and being able to learn new skills on the job. I am grateful that Goose Byte values these things and affords me the opportunity to work in such a flexible manner.
As of 2023, I have several mobile, PC and console games under my belt. I work in a very visual way and really enjoy using my UX wireframes to help drive conversation around game design ideas. My favorite part of my job is working in editor to make my UI and UX designs come to life.
